Financing Linkage & Appliance Bundling Lead | SafewireUG Productive Use Energy
Advisory Initiative Edwin is a passionate energy access champion with a strong background in public
administration, community engagement, and operational management. He brings extensive
experience leading initiatives that improve access to essential services for underserved communities across Uganda.

At SafewireUG, Edwin is responsible for developing financing partnerships with SACCOs, MFIs, and other stakeholders to enable affordable appliance bundling solutions that promote productive use of energy. His role bridges the gap between clean energy products and the financial solutions rural households and small businesses need to adopt them.

Prior to joining SafewireUG, Edwin served as Bond Supervisor at East African Container Terminal Limited, where he honed his skills in logistics management and team leadership.

He also founded and chaired the Platform for Child Education (CBO), demonstrating his
deep commitment to grassroots empowerment and social impact.

Edwin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Diploma in Social Work and
Social Administration from Uganda Christian University.
