Mr. Collins Muhwezi is the visionary Founder & CEO of Street-Wireman Agency. He is a development strategist, energy access advocate, and Entrepreneur who innovated Uganda’s first digital wireman marketplace transforming last-mile electricity adoption in rural and semi-urban electrification areas. With over 10 years of professional experience spanning rural electrification, customer relations, and community engagement, Collins brings a rare blend of grassroots expertise and institutional insight to solving one of Uganda’s most pressing energy challenges: Electricity adoption readiness.
Before founding Street-wireman agency, Collins worked as a Community Affairs Officer with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, under the African Development Bank-funded Uganda Electricity Access Project, where he mobilized over 100,000 rural households and enterprises for grid connections. His work has focused on unlocking demand for energy infrastructure through policy-aligned community programs, productive use enablement, and socio-economic inclusion.
He holds an Executive MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) from ESAMI of Arusha Tanzania, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute, a BSc in Population Studies from Makerere University school of statistics and is actively pursuing PMP-(Project Management Professional) Certification from Project Management Institute.
Driven by a vision to bridge the gap between electricity infrastructure access and actual electricity adoption, Collins is building Street-Wireman Agency as a national tech-platform that powers energy service accessibility & delivery.
