Lead – Finance & Administration

Daaki Umaru is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and financial systems specialist with over 7 years of
experience in public finance, donor-funded project accounting, and administrative operations. As Street-
Wireman Agency’s Lead for Finance & Administration, Umaru oversees the company’s financial health, compliance systems, procurement processes, and internal controls—ensuring the startup’s operations are
lean, transparent, and ready to scale.

Prior to joining Street-Wireman Agency, Umaru worked with the Dairy Development Authority (DDA) as a
Revenue Accountant, where he managed donor-funded projects (FAO, SNV, AVCP), oversaw payroll and
non-tax revenue accounting, and led system reconciliation using IFMS and other digital platforms. He also previously served as a Revenue Officer with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), where he helped streamline local tax assessments under the TREP program.

Umaru holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major) from Makerere University, is a certified CPA,
and is currently pursuing his MBA in Accounting & Finance. He is well-trained in QuickBooks, Tally, and
IFMS, and brings with him deep practical knowledge of government financial policy, procurement
compliance, and budget management.
